Journal Publication Ethics


The journal’s editorial office adheres to international publication ethics standards, principles of academic integrity, and the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the fields of science, education, and mass media.

The editorial policy is based on the principles of transparency, objectivity, scientific reliability, respect for copyright, and the inadmissibility of any forms of dishonest publication practice.

These ethical standards are mandatory for authors, reviewers, members of the editorial board, and all participants in the publishing process.

Editorial Ethics
Editorial Principles

The journal’s editorial office conducts an independent scientific and editorial policy aimed at ensuring the high quality of published materials.

The editorial office:

  • makes publication decisions solely on the basis of the scientific significance, relevance, novelty, reliability, and practical value of the research;
  • does not permit discrimination against authors on the grounds of gender, nationality, citizenship, language, religion, social status, or other personal characteristics;
  • ensures compliance with international and national publication ethics requirements;
  • cooperates with authors and reviewers to improve the quality of scientific publications;
  • reserves the right to carry out editorial editing, abridgement, and adaptation of materials in accordance with the journal’s requirements;
  • upon identification of errors, unreliable data, or ethics violations, publishes corrections, clarifications, retractions, or withdraws the publication in accordance with the established procedure.

Publication Decision

The final decision on acceptance of an article for publication is made by the editor-in-chief based on the peer review results, conclusions of the editorial board, and the article’s compliance with the journal’s scientific policy.

The following are taken into account when reviewing a manuscript:

  • originality of the research;
  • scientific and practical significance;
  • relevance to the journal’s subject area;
  • compliance with formatting requirements;
  • absence of plagiarism and copyright violations;
  • compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Rejection of publication on grounds of insufficient scientific value falls within the exclusive competence of the editorial board.

Confidentiality

Materials submitted to the editorial office are treated as confidential documents.

Members of the editorial board, editors, and reviewers are not permitted to use unpublished materials for personal, scientific, or professional purposes without the written consent of the author.

Information obtained during the peer review process is not subject to disclosure to third parties.

Peer Review Ethics
The Role of Peer Review

Peer review is a mandatory stage of expert evaluation of a scientific article and contributes to making an objective decision on the possibility of publication.

Reviewers’ comments help authors improve the quality of their scientific work and enhance its scientific value.

If the author disagrees with the reviewer’s conclusions, they have the right to submit a reasoned written objection. In this case, the article may be sent for re-review or referred to the editorial board for consideration.

Reviewer Responsibilities

The reviewer is obliged to:

  • conduct expert evaluation objectively, professionally, and with reasoned arguments;
  • maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript;
  • promptly inform the editorial office of any inability to conduct the review;
  • refrain from personal criticism of the author;
  • notify the editorial office of any identified signs of plagiarism, duplicate publications, or other violations of academic ethics;
  • decline to review in the event of a conflict of interest;
  • not use the article’s materials in their own research prior to official publication.

Conflict of Interest

The reviewer is obliged to decline participation in peer review in the event of personal interest, professional dependency, academic competition, or other circumstances that could affect the objectivity of the expert evaluation.

Author Ethics
Originality and Prohibition of Plagiarism

Authors guarantee that the submitted article is an original scientific work and has not previously been published in other journals.

The use of others’ ideas, texts, research results, or publication fragments without proper citation is considered plagiarism and is not permitted.

The following are not permitted:

  • misappropriation of authorship of another’s work;
  • copying text without referencing the source;
  • substantial paraphrasing without indicating the original source;
  • simultaneous submission of the same article to multiple journals;
  • republication of previously published materials without appropriate notification to the editorial office.

Upon identification of violations, the article may be rejected or retracted after publication.

Article Authorship

Only individuals who have made a substantial contribution to the development of the research concept, execution of the work, analysis of results, and preparation of the manuscript may be listed as authors.

Individuals who did not directly participate in the research must not be listed as co-authors.

Where necessary, other research participants may be acknowledged in the acknowledgements section.

Disclosure of Conflict of Interest

Authors are obliged to disclose any financial, organizational, or other factors that could influence the research results or interpretation of data.

All sources of research funding must be indicated in the manuscript.

Correction of Errors

Upon discovery of a significant error in a published article, the author is obliged to immediately notify the editorial office and assist in the publication of a correction, clarification, or official retraction of the material.

Reliability of Scientific Results

Authors bear full responsibility for the reliability of the presented data, the correctness of conclusions, and the accuracy of bibliographic references.

The manuscript must indicate:

  • the location where the research was conducted;
  • the position and affiliation of the authors;
  • scientific programs, grants, or projects within the framework of which the work was carried out.

Research Ethics

All scientific research submitted for publication must comply with international biomedical ethics standards and the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Compliance with the following is mandatory:

  • the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki of the World Medical Association;
  • patients’ rights and voluntary informed consent to participation in research;
  • bioethics standards in the conduct of clinical, medical, and biological research;
  • rules for the humane treatment of laboratory animals;
  • requirements of existing ethics committees and relevant state regulations.

The editorial office reserves the right to request supporting documents confirming ethical approval of the research.
